Introduction to Warp Painting (on Cellulose Fibers)

This mini workshop will present the basics of warp painting on cellulose fibers.  It will include types of dyes, planning and preparing the warp, mixing and applying the dye, curing and washing the warp after dying. I will also touch on protein fibers. This will be a demonstration with only a tiny bit of hands on. No one will be exposed to dye powders so masks are not needed for this demo. Probably there won't be any slopping of dye, but very casual dress is recommended. A source list will be provided.
